The mission of the Women’s Business Development Council is to assist, support and champion the economic success of women through entrepreneurial and financial education and thereby strengthen our communities through the creation and retention of sustainable businesses, new jobs, and the promotion of financial self-sufficiency. WBDC has served over 14,000 clients, and assisted in the creation of more than 1,800 businesses, sustainability and expansion of 3,800 established businesses, and support of more than 4,900 jobs, since inception. Founded in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, the Women’s Business Development Council is host to three U.S. Small Business Administration – Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO) Women’s Business Centers (WBCs).
