Norwich, CT – On Wednesday March 6th at 5:00pm Three Rivers Community College in partnership with the Student Activities Office and Full Plate Pantry are hosting the Three Rivers Empty Bowls Project to support the campus food pantry. Empty bowls is a national event that we are hosting at a local level for the Norwich and Greater Southeastern Connecticut community to enjoy. Food insecurity can and has played a role on the educational journey of our students. It is our goal to make sure that when our students are on campus, they have access to fresh, healthy food and personal items. Be a soup-er star and come support students! Dinner will consist of a bowl of soup or chili, fresh bread, and a drink. Dinner with the purchase of a ceramic bowl will be $15 and dinner without a ceramic bowl will be $10. The event will host raffle baskets, extra ceramics pieces for purchase, and community comradery. This event is open to the public and will take place from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on campus in our multipurpose room (F-117). All questions can be emailed to stdeuntprograms@threerivers.edu.
