Press Release: Feb 19, 2024 Pam Kinder elected to serve as GNACC Chair The Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the appointment of Pam Kinder, Vice President of Business Development at UCFS Healthcare as the newly elected Chair of the Board of Directors. Ms. Kinder joined the Chamber Board as an Officer in 2019, moved to the Executive Board in 2021 as Secretary, and in 2022 became 2nd Vice Chair. She will be joined by a dynamic team of community leaders: · Ray Currier of CorePlus Credit Union will serve as Vice Chair. · Rob Janovic of MACARA Vehicle Services will serve as 2nd Vice Chair. · Stacie Lambert, CPA, of American Ambulance | Hartford Healthcare, will remain as Treasurer. · Molly Bruno, representing The Utopia Real Estate Co, will serve as Secretary. · Daniel L. King, Attorney of Lahan & King, LLC, will serve as Chamber Attorney. Ms. Kinder has been with UCFS since October 2004, where she played a pivotal role in the opening of the Rosalyn Allen Food Pantry in 2017. Known for her dedication to community service, Ms. Kinder has been instrumental in supporting initiatives that make a positive impact in our community. In her spare time, Ms. Kinder enjoys traveling, the tranquility of hiking and biking at Bluff Point, immersing herself in the captivating novels of her favorite author, Danielle Steel, and cherishing moments with her family and friends. Pam follows in the footsteps of Lisa Griffin, who served as GNACC Chairman from 2020-2023. “Lisa is an inspiration and will be a hard act to follow. Her leadership skills and dedication to the chamber during the pandemic was instrumental in ensuring the viability of the chamber. I look forward to her guidance and mentorship as I take on this new role.” said Kinder. Ms. Griffin will continue to serve on the Executive Committee of the Board, now in the role of Past Chair. Ms. Griffin, President and CEO of Eastern CT Savings Bank, stated “It has been an honor to serve as the Chair of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce these past three years and to work with such an amazing group of businesses and individuals so ready to support each other and our communities. I am pleased to be succeeded by Pam Kinder and to watch her and the board elevate the work that the Chamber has accomplished. It will be a pleasure to support her, Angela and the rest of this amazing team.” Six new members have been elected to join the board of directors, representing a diverse group of professions and businesses from various sectors throughout the northern half of New London County.
