The Chairman of the Board, Tammie Hullivan, is very excited to announce that TVCCA has hired Josh Kelly to be its next CEO, taking the reins from long-time CEO Deb Monahan, who as you know, is retiring this fall. Josh was selected after an intensive and highly competitive process; he will begin his work at TVCCA on October 24th. Deb will continue until November 10th and then move to an advisory capacity to support TVCCA. Chairman Hullivan says, “Deb will be a hard act to follow, but the Board is confident that Josh is up to the challenge. Josh is talented and engaging, a great team leader who is passionate about helping people. We are also so grateful to Deb for all she has delivered during her 50 amazing years with TVCCA, and for her willingness to stay connected to TVCCA in her retirement. Josh has been a highly successful and dedicated public servant, most recently serving as the Town Manager & CEO in the Town of Winchester/City of Winsted in northwestern Connecticut. Josh grew up in Waterford, graduating from Waterford High School and serving in both an elected and an appointed capacity in the town's government from 2015 - 2019. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wheaton College (MA) and his Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Connecticut. Prior to his work in Winchester, Josh worked for the Town of Bolton as their Town Administrator, for the Town of Windsor as a Management Analyst, and for several other nonprofit and governmental agencies across the northeast. Outside of work, Josh volunteers his time with various alumni, professional, and community organizations. In Josh’s own words, "Throughout my life, I have sought ways that I can make a difference and help people in need. I couldn't be more excited to join the TVCCA team and bring my passion for helping others back to southeastern Connecticut in a wide-reaching and multifaceted capacity. The TVCCA staff and members of the Board of Trustees are unparalleled in their commitment to improving the lives of others in our area, and I am humbled and honored to have been chosen to serve TVCCA in this capacity." As I transition to retirement, I want you all to know that I love you, TVCCA’s mission, and the people we serve, so it has been hard to think about leaving. After meeting with Josh, I knew that you and TVCCA would be in good hands, and that it will be OK for me to step back. I will miss you all so very much. I hope everyone in the community knows how appreciative I am for all the support you have given TVCCA and me over the past 50 years. We could not be more excited to see how Josh’s leadership helps TVCCA’s staff to thrive, and creates opportunity for TVCCA to have continually expanded impact for families in Southeastern Connecticut!
