FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 10, 2022 NORWICH HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND SOCIETY OF THE FOUNDERS OF NORWICH ARE SEEKING SEASONAL MUSEUM GUIDES (Norwich, CT) - The Norwich Historical Society and the Society of the Founders of Norwich are seeking 1-2 seasonal museum guides to be stationed at the Leffingwell House Museum, Norwich Heritage & Regional Visitors’ Center, and the Joseph Carpenter Silversmith Shop and History Museum. The museum guides will report to the staff person in charge of the site(s). This position includes a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 hours/week and requires weekend work Friday – Sunday. There is the option to be “on call” or a substitute in the event that a museum guide is unable to attend their shift. The salary is $18.00/hour. Orientation will begin in April 2023 and the opening season will run from May through October 2023. It is understood that the museum guide is working as an independent contractor by their own business and not as an employee.
