The accomplished blues-infused rock n’ roll guitarist is to perform at the Garde Arts Center March 26, 2023 New London (Oct. 24, 2022) – The Garde Arts Center announced today that the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will perform at the Garde Theater at 325 State Street in New London on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. as part of the Trouble Is… 25th Anniversary Tour. Shepherd has built an enviable resume as an accomplished recording artist, a riveting live performer, and one of the most talented and distinctive guitarists of his generation. Shepherd has sold millions of albums worldwide, received five GRAMMY® nominations, two Billboard Music Awards, as well as a pair of Orville H. Gibson awards, the Blues Foundation’s Keeping The Blues Alive award, and two Blues Music awards. He’s had seven #1 blues albums and a string of #1 mainstream rock singles. The band will perform the entirety of the album Trouble Is…, an astonishingly powerful collection that features the mega-hit “Blue On Black” which was No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Radio Charts for an astonishing 17 consecutive weeks (breaking records for the most consecutive weeks at #1) and is, to this day, a staple of rock radio stations around the globe. A stinging set of electric blues played with passionate conviction, Trouble Is… features four top ten radio hits including, “Slow Ride”, “Somehow, Somewhere, Someway”, “Everything Is Broken”, and of course, “Blue On Black”.
