The event is scheduled to include dinner and will take place from 5-9pm at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven, Connecticut. Manufacturers and stakeholders in manufacturing and related industries are encouraged to attend. Interested members of the general public are also welcome, and press is invited for free. Registration is required for all; please visit https://business.manufacturect.org/events/details/annual-celebration-of-manufacturect-169 Barry Alexander, CEO & Founder at the Hartford-based Aquiline Drones, LLC, will be the Keynote Speaker. The program will focus on evidence and case studies from across the state, as companies large and small arose to challenges during the COVID-19 era and came out strong. Red Rock Branding is producing a professional video to tie together these data and stories. Says Jamison Scott, Executive Director of ManufactureCT, “Everywhere we look, workers are pursuing new skills, younger generations are taking over family businesses, and customers who seek careful precision continue to reach out to our manufacturing members. What they produced for the nation and the world at-large during Covid proves that Connecticut manufacturers are socially responsible, highly reliable, here to stay and above all, here to thrive.” Last year, this event attracted approximately 225 to a summer event held virtually, a quick pivot which earned kudos from politicians and influencers. Jill Mayer, CEO of Bead Industries, got voted in as President along with a new slate of officers. Ari Santiago, creator of the Made in America podcast, guided a segment on Why Manufacturing Matters. JR Logan of MakeHaven provided a mini visual tour of his facility. Officials offered remarks from local, state and national economic development perspectives and Alison Avery of BYK spoke on behalf of her Connecticut-based division of the global corporation.
