For Immediate Release Contact: Betty Baillargeon 860-215-9207 bbaillargeon@threerivers.edu Three Rivers College Foundation Establish Scholarship in memory of Esteemed Professor Norwich, CT –A $10,000 endowed scholarship was established in memory of Mark Vesligaj, Professor of Engineering Science and Technology Studies at Three Rivers Community College. The Mark Vesligaj Memorial Scholarship was created to support students at Three Rivers Community College who are enrolled in STEM, preferably engineering, and who have shown growth and genuine commitment in pursuing their educational goals. The first scholarship in his memory will be awarded in May 2022. Vesligaj, a Fulbright Scholarship and beloved TRCC faculty member since 2016 was a gifted educator and engaged community partner also serving as the Campus Director for the Connecticut Advanced Manufacturing Council, Program Coordinator of the CT College of Technology, and the Campus Director of the NASA CT Space Grant Consortium. Prior to teaching at TRCC, Vesligaj was a long serving faculty member at Quinebaug Valley Community College. Anyone wishing to donate to the scholarship may do so.
