Known throughout the community for his sense of humor and encyclopedic knowledge of all things music, Rick will regale happy hour passengers with his creative and gifted storytelling while riders cruise past historic sites and take in shoreline views. The harbor cruise will originate at City Pier behind Union Station in the heart of New London’s Historic Waterfront District. Tickets are $25 Tickets are available at www.thamesriverheritagepark.org. Passengers are encouraged to bring their favorite beverages (alcohol is permitted). The water taxis are authentic Navy vessels, known as liberty launches that provided ship to shore transportation for sailors when they pulled into a port without docking facilities. The water taxis, one named Groton, the other New London are a central feature of the park’s operation.
