The Society of the Founders is offering TWO Norwich museum options for that day. There will be $3 off admission at Leffingwell House Museum at 348 Washington St. Norwich. From 10am-2pm on June 12, visitors can tour the museum, enjoy the history and see a special exhibit of historic flags for $5! Tours will start at 10am until 2pm every 45 minutes. June 12 is the Opening Day for a new museum of Norwich History: The Joseph Carpenter Silversmith Shop at 71 East Town St. Norwich. Admission will be FREE from 11am-3pm. This new museum will present the early history of the settlement of Norwich which centered around the Norwichtown Green, highlight the tradesmen who lived and worked around the Green and display the artifacts found during an archeological dig and during reconstruction of the foundation. You will also see the original chimney forge used by the Norwich silversmith Joseph Carpenter in 1772!
