The award is usually presented at AHEPA’s annual meeting, noted AHEPA President George Grossomanides, but due to the pandemic AHEPA’s nonprofit awards are being granted individually this year. Grossomanides extended congratulations to the agency for continuing to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the pandemic. “We’re so grateful for the continuing support of The AHEPA Foundation,” said Bill Furgueson, The Arc ECT’s new Chief Marketing and Development Officer. “AHEPA has done so many things for people in need in eastern Connecticut; we are proud to have them as a community partner.” AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage. With over 400 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Europe, it was established to promote civil rights and combat discrimination.
