Thanks to the support of the Knights of Columbus, The Arc’s Community Life & Advocacy (CL&A) component has been able to continue to provide a variety of programs during the pandemic, including virtual self-advocacy groups and health and fitness activities, including Special Olympics, to over 145 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) from eastern Connecticut. “We are so lucky to have the Knights of Columbus as a community partner,” notes CL&A Program Coordinator Debbie Densmore. “They’ve been great advocates and supporters of our mission for many years.” All The Arc’s programs stress equality of opportunity and choice, helping people with IDD live their best lives.
