This newly-created position was established in response to the need for a dedicated leader to work with local, state, and federal partners to focus efforts on regional economic recovery and resilience. Through strategic technical assistance, Cote is responsible for assisting businesses, partners, and municipalities with projects related to the COVID-19 pandemic recovery. Cote, from Old Lyme, Connecticut, brings 17 years of economic development experience in leadership positions at both Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce and Shoreline Chamber of Commerce. Cote holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Charter Oak State College and an A.S. in Accounting from Three Rivers Community College. “Sheri’s experience working with businesses and municipalities in her Chamber of Commerce roles will be instrumental in her ability to implement projects throughout the region,” said Nancy Cowser, seCTer executive director. Cowser added, “Sheri’s wide network in eastern Connecticut will allow her to quickly support the highly impacted communities within the 26 towns and cities seCTer covers.” Cote believes that partnering and collaborating with others is the way to success. “There’s a lot of positive momentum with Electric Boat and the biotech industry here in southeastern CT.
