NORWICH, CT Dec. 1, 2022 – The Board of Directors of Thames River Community Service, Inc. extends a joyful welcome to Uduak Enyiema, who will serve as only the third Executive Director in the organization’s 30-year history. Board President, Eric McDermott, noted “Uduak’s experience and knowledge, especially her dedication to mission and service, made her the unanimous choice to lead Thames River.” Ms. Enyiema is a non-profit operations management professional who has dedicated her career to ensuring those in need receive a high level of quality services and are always treated with dignity and respect. She joins Thames River after serving in the capacity of supervising program director for 16 years in the non-profit community corrections sector. In that role, she oversaw policy development, training and compliance, regulatory facility licensing, contractual requirements, applicable zoning regulations, auditing, and ACA accreditation. Prior to her experience in community corrections, Uduak was executive director for a juvenile residential school. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University, and a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University.
