We offer general contracting and construction management services to a broad client base in both the public and private sectors. Industries served include: private, commercial, municipal, education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, utility, non-profit, and industrial just to name a few. Our team includes office and field staff in a variety of disciplines, along with a tenured network of subcontractors and vendors based on project needs.

Mattern Construction was founded in 1987 by current owner, George J. Mattern. He started the business from his home in Canterbury, then moved the business to Preston, and in 2000 we arrived at our current office in Baltic, CT. Since 1987, Mattern Construction has completed over 3200 projects.
