The winning rally opened with one out as Garrett McCain smacked a double to right. Hector Martinez singled McCain to third. After Andres Sthormes struck out, Savage hit a slow hopper to second baseman Sam Castro that he beat out on a very close play at first to send the Tigers (24-23) to their third straight win. Connecticut grabbed a 2-0 lead in the sixth on a Reynaldo Rivera sacrifice fly and a Dylan Rosa (3 hits) fielders choice. After the Muckdogs took the lead with three in the seventh of Jhonny Mateo, a Rosa single drove in Cam Warner to tie it at 3 in the eighth, setting up the ninth inning heroics. Burris Warner (1-1) got the win with 2 and 2/3 innings of hitless relief for the Tigers, who continue the series with Batavia Saturday night at 7:05.
