For Immediate Release Contact: Denise Tift The Arc New London County dtift@thearcnlc.org 860-889-4435 x103 TheArcNLC.org July 5, 2017 AHEPA Norwich Foundation Awards $600 to The Arc New London County NORWICH—The AHEPA Norwich Foundation has awarded $600 to The Arc New London County to support programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Arc NLC’s Community Life & Advocacy program provides facilitators, materials and transportation for a variety of self-advocacy, socialization skills, job preparation, recreation and civic engagement groups and activities for over 170 people from across the region. CL&A and is the only program of its kind, receiving no state or federal funding. AHEPA’s grant, and other donations like it, are an important part of the program’s continued existence. The mission of AHEPA National Housing Corporation (ANHC) is to provide affordable housing for low-income elderly and disabled persons, and to insure people receive services designed to meet each person’s physical and social needs.
