FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 7, 2017 Media Contact: Rich Haskell rich@cttigers.com LOWELL SENDS TIGERS TO FOURTH STRAIGHT LOSS, 11-4 8-run third inning powers Spinners LOWELL, MA- The Lowell Spinners pounded out six straight hits in the bottom of the third inning and went on to rout the Connecticut Tigers, 11-3, Friday night at LeLacheur Park. Tigers reliever Francisco German relieved starter Dane Myers (0-1) to begin the third, and the first six hitters all singled, followed by a walk, error, wild pitch and a 7th single and a 2-0 game suddenly had turned into a 10-0 blowout. Lowell starter Yorvin Pantoja went four hitless innings, while Danyi Reyes (1-0) picked up the win with three innings of one-run relief. Garrett McCain was the lone bright spot offensively for the Tigers (9-8), going 2-3 with a run and RBI. The two teams will meet again in Lowell on Saturday afternoon, with Jose Vasquez (1-0) going for the Tigers. First pitch is set for 5:35 on 1310 WICH and online at cttigers.com
