This ‘First Alarm’ letter was delivered on April 20, 1775, 244 years ago, to Christopher Leffingwell at his Inn in Norwich. This original piece of history is on loan, for one day only, from the collection of the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library in Lexington, MA. There will be a presentation on the history of the Letter and the Battle that started the Revolution and a display of more artifacts that contributed to the start of the Revolution. We are proud to be able to display this exciting piece of Revolutionary Norwich history. $5
