Dr. Johnson has been Center for Hospice Care’s Medical Director for its Hospice and Palliative care program since April of 2017. Dr. Johnson is board certified in Hospice/Palliative Medicine, Hematology, Oncology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from the Cornell University Medical College in New York, NY, and completed her Hematology, Oncology fellowship at Brown Medical School in Providence, RI. An Oncologist since 2002, Dr. Johnson is currently practicing at Eastern Connecticut Hematology, Oncology (ECHO) located at 330 Washington Street in Norwich. Along with her duties at ECHO and Center for Hospice Care, Dr. Johnson is also on the Medical Staff at The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam and L + M Hospital in New London, CT. By having a certified medical director on board, Center for Hospice Care can be confident in the administrative, regulatory, ethical, legal and clinical skills of our interdisciplinary team providing hospice care.
