In the nightcap, Colby Bortles smacked a base hit into center field to score Cole Peterson with the games' only run to give the Tigers the victory. The first game resumed in the fifth with Tri-City leading 1-0. In the regularly schedule game, Dane Myers was brilliant over a season-high five innings, and Dean Aldridge (1-0) and closer Drew Carlton (6th save) shut the door to preserve the sweep. The teams will meet again on Wednesday night at 7:05 at Dodd Stadium, with Ken Figueroa (1-1) getting the start for Connecticut. The game can be heard on 1310 WICH and online at www.cttigers.com.
