Extremely responsive to maintenance issue I had recently in my mom's unit. She has lived in one of their units for several years and has been happy with the experience.

Lacking in customer service and difficult to get a live person. Very disappointing as the properties they manage are good quality.

Bobby and his crew are the best! I know my mother is in a well cared for apartment and that takes a load off my mind. Bobby was able to get the place ready for a quick move in. Thank you again!

People around us smoke everyday on the balcony. We enjoy fresh air and we like to sit with the balcony doors open but, whether I'm on the couch or the kitchen the smell comes right in. Also ive been in bed and the smoke gets pulled into AC and i smell it in bed. Unreal that pledge does nothing about it even after a long paper trail of communication.

Also very poor with snow removal. I leave for work at 7am and often walking thru a foot of snow but how would a physically unable person manage. 0 zero if possible for the Connecticut locations.

Great service from office personnel also fast and courteous response. The maintenance personnel Bobby and Ramon are the best when problems need to be resolved. Pledge should be aware of their importance. Thanks to Lisa and Alice two great and courteous office personnel. Pledge is very lucky to have wonderful employees. Thank You Art and Pat Davis 1201 River View Lane.

I lived in their Griswold location for three years. For the most part they leave you alone which is also why they have 2/5 and not 5. During the pandemic they did not get back to you right away about anything. When I moved out they just left a voicemail on and they'd "get back to you later" which they never did. My husband had to keep emailing asking them to follow up or we'd take legal action for them to respond at all. They also take a cleaning the carpet fee and general cleaning fee regardless whether you deep cleaned the apartment or not. Both those totaled out to $300 from the security deposit. They also uploaded YouTube videos of our inspection. I'm said video they advised they came to the house on May 31st when technically our last legal day we can be there was that day. While we did leave sooner, it didn't seem legal since we still could of been in the home when they decided to do that.
We had two major leaks downstairs which started less than a month into living there. One was the pipes to the washer and the pump to push the water out stopped working and the helper shelter pvc pipe of all colors didn't stay together. they never inspected that issue before we moved in. The second leak is possibly a crack in the foundation that let in water when it rained severely. They just had maintenance pull up the carpet and air it out. That's all. Maybe they hoped it'd go away but it never did. It left a black mold stain in the carpet that was there until I moved out. It was not a part of the house I used a lot but definitely not safe to keep it like that. They were well aware of the issue.
The maintenance men at first were VERY rude. Any time I needed something repaired that was broken when I moved in one man named Bobby acted like it was my fault. After awhile I just decided to stop asking to minor things to be fixed and just dealt with them.
Living in the condo was fine. The neighbors can be obnoxious. There was countless times I'd hear the neighbor right next to me down in the basement maintenance area or even outside cursing and giggling to themselves which was creepy. When we first moved in they also loved to stomp around and slam doors. I had to put in a complaint because it'd be late at night and it sounded like they were sumo wrestling the condo.
Since I was in a middle unit on condo on my other side couldn't keep a tenant for some reason. I'm pretty sure it was cursed somehow. We found out later in tenant was a drug dealer. They were the worst out of all the people I ever had to live next to. Three days into living there the cops came with back up and rifles to arrest the man. The couple fought constantly and I called the police once because it was 3am and a female was screaming. The police came in record time only for the lady to deny everything. Pretty much, pledge doesn't background check anyone when they screen possible tenants.
There is also a huge issue with overflowing trash cans, trash in the yard, and kids toys all over the backyard and neighborhood kids skateboarding on the sidewalks we use to get in and out of the units. Pledge didn't really do much about it other than make fliers to "stop doing that or we'll fine you" none of that happened.
Right when I was about to move out they also had the nerve to ask if they could show the condo while I'm still living there. I work from home as well as my husband sleeps during the day so we had to decline. It was very unprofessional for them to ask. Especially since that is a safety risk to us when someone would break into our house after seeing what we own.
Truthfully if I knew all this ahead of time, I would of looked elsewhere for a place.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kendra W.CT, CT5661Jun 24, 2019
I locked myself out of my apartment AND my car. I called the office and they sent someone over within 45 mins to get me back in! VERY helpful and great service!

Moved into house today and nothing was fixed that I requested to get fix. There is no mail box, and outlets and lights not working. I got a email confirmation that they did a walk through and the house was ready to be moved into. Not impressed, at all.

Me and my family have been living here for 4 years and I also rented from another one of their properties prior. We love it, its quiet and the way they keep up with the property is amazing.

I have been working with Pledge as my Property Management company for a couple of years now and I have to say they are excellent. Every time there has been an issue with the house they have notified me immediately and worked with and tenants to get issues resolved quickly.
The folks at Pledge are very professional and sensitive to both owners and clients.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
